Global Warming with Crochet

A chronicle of the scarves and hats I have crocheted along with links to the patterns or other resources I used. These scarves and hats will go to the wonderful charities I support. This blog is dedicated to my grandmother, Bess Allison (Mama Bess), who taught me to crochet, and to my father, Bill Bishop, both of whom have passed on. I also dedicate this site to my mother, Jeanette Bishop, who has always been such an inspiration to me in so many ways. I love you all so much.

Drumroll Please....My First Knitted Piece!

I'm very pleased to announce that I have (for the first time) finished a knitted item! It is a hat knitted with just knit stitches in the round. I started with a 72 cast-on (which I now know makes too small of a hat for an adult with the Red Heart yarn I used), so the hat would be appropriate for a young teen, perhaps. Anyway, I'm proud of it, flaws and all! I look forward to making more.
