Global Warming with Crochet

A chronicle of the scarves and hats I have crocheted along with links to the patterns or other resources I used. These scarves and hats will go to the wonderful charities I support. This blog is dedicated to my grandmother, Bess Allison (Mama Bess), who taught me to crochet, and to my father, Bill Bishop, both of whom have passed on. I also dedicate this site to my mother, Jeanette Bishop, who has always been such an inspiration to me in so many ways. I love you all so much.

Knitted Scarf Completed October 21, 2011

I finally finished the garter stitch scarf and I thought I never would. I think that I could have crocheted 10 scarves in the same amount of time! But I'm sure if I keep at knitting, I will get a little faster (I hope!) Here is a picture of the finished product:

I have now started a new knitted scarf, this one with cables. I only have a few inches so far, and since it is time-consuming, I will probably only do 5 or 6 rows a day and just plug along until I get it finished. Here's a picture of the beginning:
