Global Warming with Crochet

A chronicle of the scarves and hats I have crocheted along with links to the patterns or other resources I used. These scarves and hats will go to the wonderful charities I support. This blog is dedicated to my grandmother, Bess Allison (Mama Bess), who taught me to crochet, and to my father, Bill Bishop, both of whom have passed on. I also dedicate this site to my mother, Jeanette Bishop, who has always been such an inspiration to me in so many ways. I love you all so much.

Scarf #11 March 29, 2011

Not happy with this one, not because of the pattern but because of the yarn. I used Lion Brand Jiffy color "Purple Spray". Although it is a beautiful color, I had to use two skeins of the yarn to finish the scarf and, although the two skeins had the same dye lot, there were more of the white thin thread in the second skein. ARGHH!!! Needless to say, no more scarves will be made with Jiffy. I used Kate's V-Stitch scarf pattern (which I love) and which can be found here.
