A chronicle of the scarves and hats I have crocheted along with links to the patterns or other resources I used. These scarves and hats will go to the wonderful charities I support. This blog is dedicated to my grandmother, Bess Allison (Mama Bess), who taught me to crochet, and to my father, Bill Bishop, both of whom have passed on. I also dedicate this site to my mother, Jeanette Bishop, who has always been such an inspiration to me in so many ways. I love you all so much.

Scarf #13 March 31, 2011
I love the rich color of this scarf (Red Heart Soft - Color Teal 9518) but as I expected with a soft yarn it was pretty thin. I used the pattern #15 from the book "101 Crochet Stitches" by Jean Leinhauser (ISBN: 0-88195-693-7) and started with a beginning chain of 34 (multiple of 8 + 2). If I was going to use a regular worsted weight yarn, I would probably start with a beginning chain of 26 for a scarf.
